  • 61 pupils passed Imperial Classical Ballet exams on 1-3 March 2024.  They ranged from Primary (age 6 years) to Intermediate vocational exams (age 15-17 years). Congratulations to all!            Here are some grade 2 pupils:
  • Dancing at the fair! 38 pupils enjoyed performing at St. Matthew’s Church Fair on 11 Nov 2023.      
  • 46 pupils passed Imperial Classical Ballet exams in October 2023. We had 100% pass rate again with most merits and distinctions. We are so proud of your work and efforts to gain these excellent results.
  • Our school has continued to flourish over the last 12 months and now has over 300 students, the majority having been with us since the beginning.  As well as the principal Caroline Barrett, the teaching staff includes Siri Haggarty who joined in April 2018.  Siri is a fully qualified teacher who trained at the Birmingham Royal Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School. 
  • Isabella Vargiu, a former student, has graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has decided to train to teach. She is currently assisting Miss Caroline and Miss Siri. Miss Isabella has now qualified and we are fortunate that she is teaching some of the classes. 
  • 70 pupils passed Imperial Classical Ballet exams in March 2023 all with distinction or merit so 100% pass rate again.  Congratulations on these wonderful results!
  • More Great news! The Christmas Show 2022 is on! We are going to be performing Sleeping Beauty and other classics. There really is no business like show business!
  • Ren Walsingham has again been chosen to perform at the Rose Theatre, Kingston. This year she is doing A Christmas Carol. Congratulations Ren!
  • 48 pupils passed Imperial Classical Ballet exams in March 2022. We had 100% pass rate again with many distinctions and merits. Toby Brett and Ekaterina Smirnova both scored Merit for Intermediate. This is a vocational exam so an outstanding result! Well done!
  • 60 pupils passed Imperial Classical Ballet exams in October 2021. These were our first exams for two years due to the pandemic. We had 100% pass rate and many Merits and Distinctions. Congratulations!
  • Aicha Hoffman has been accepted on the Ballet Black Associate programme. Congratulations Aicha!
  • We are delighted to be re-launching our Tap Dance Classes on Tuesdays in the autumn term 2021. Miss Rosanna will be teaching this who has performed in London’s West End and on television and has been teaching for WWDA for many years

  • Great news!  We will be back at the halls after Easter for our summer term 2021 starting Monday 19 April.  Looking forward to seeing everyone then.  We have completed a full term of online classes this Spring term 2021.  Well done to all the children who took part.  I am so proud of your hard work and love of dance. 
  • Classes will resume at the halls of St. Matthew’s and St. John’s in the autumn term (commencing Monday 7 September) We are of course working with Government Guidelines so that we can open safely and effectively. Look forward to seeing you in September!
  • We have completed a full term of online classes this summer term 2020. Great to see so many pupils participating. 
  • Next week we continue to pilot our online lessons. Our first week was a terrific success. There was overwhelmingly positive feedback. We look forward to seeing you all online next week. On with the show!
  • Ren Walsingham, performed in The Snow Queen at the Rose Theatre, Kingston in December 2019-January 2020 and also in Beauty and the Beast in December 2021-January 2022. Well done Ren!

  • Isabel Harrington passed her Advanced 1 Imperial Ballet exam with distinction in March 2014. Isabel was accepted for a fourth year as a Senior Associate of the Royal Ballet School. In March 2016, Isabel passed her Advanced 2 Imperial Ballet exam with merit. This is the most advanced ballet exam.
  • Performance May 2022 – picture below – the audience were delighted with the performance at the St. Matthew’s Fair. The Saturday  grade 4 class performed Pineapple Poll. This was our first performance since 2019 due to the pandemic.

  • Ria and Eva Rose Tanaka were at the prestigious Arts Educational School in Chiswick and performed with the National Youth Ballet at Sadler’s Wells and Buckingham Palace. 
  • Francesca Heald graduated from the London Studio Centre in July 2022. Francesca assists Miss Caroline on Saturdays. 
  • We acquired new additional premises in January 2017 at the brand new Church Hall at St. John’s Church, Spencer Hill, Wimbledon, SW19 4NZ. We are amazingly fortunate to be able to offer lessons at two top quality, modern facilities which are only a mile apart.
