  • Aicha Hoffman has been accepted on the Ballet Black Associate programme. Congratulations Aicha!
  • We are delighted to be re-launching our Tap Dance Classes on Tuesdays in the autumn term 2021. Miss Rosanna will be teaching this who has performed in London’s West End and on television and has been teaching for WWDA for many years

  • Classes will resume at the halls of St. Matthew’s and St. John’s in the autumn term (commencing Monday 7 September) We are of course working with Government Guidelines so that we can open safely and effectively. Look forward to seeing you in September!
  • We have completed a full term of online classes this summer term 2020. Great to see so many pupils participating. 
  • Next week we continue to pilot our online lessons. Our first week was a terrific success. There was overwhelmingly positive feedback. We look forward to seeing you all online next week. On with the show!
  • 56 students passed Imperial Classical Ballet exams in November 2019 with 100% pass rate, most distinctions and merits. Well done!
  • Ren Walsingham, Grade 6 performed in The Snow Queen at the Rose Theatre, Kingston in December 2019-January 2020.  Ren is now preparing for Beauty and the Beast also at the Rose Theatre in December 2021-January 2022. Well done Ren!

  • Isabel Harrington passed her Advanced 1 Imperial Ballet exam with distinction in March 2014. Isabel was accepted for a fourth year as a Senior Associate of the Royal Ballet School. In March 2016, Isabel passed her Advanced 2 Imperial Ballet exam with merit. This is the most advanced ballet exam.
  • Isabella Vargiu has now graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. 
  • Performance November 2019 – picture below – the audience were delighted with the performance at the St. Matthew’s Fair. The Saturday  grade 4 class performed Alice in Wonderland.

 

  • Our school has continued to flourish over the last 12 months and now has over 350 students, the majority having been with us since the beginning.  As well as the principal Caroline Barrett, the teaching staff includes Linda Dam who joined in September 2014.  Linda is a fully qualified teacher who trained at Sadler’s Wells and London Studio Centre.
  • Siri Haggarty, a former student, has graduated from the Birmingham Royal Ballet School and after working with the Northern Ballet has decided to train to teach. She is currently assisting Miss Caroline and Miss Linda. Miss Siri has now qualified and we are fortunate that she is teaching some of the classes. 
  • Ria and Eva Rose Tanaka are at the prestigious Arts Educational School in Chiswick and performed with the National Youth Ballet at Sadler’s Wells and Buckingham Palace. Ria is now assisting on Saturdays.
  • Francesca Heald has just been accepted at London Studio Centre and starts in September 2018. Francesca will still be assisting Miss Caroline on Saturdays. 
  • We acquired new additional premises in January 2017 at the brand new Church Hall at St. John’s Church, Spencer Hill, Wimbledon, SW19 4NZ. We are amazingly fortunate to be able to offer lessons at two top quality, modern facilities which are only a mile apart.
